Welcome Page

Welcome to the Missionary Conduit!

Just as the name implies, the Missionary Conduit was designed to act as an informational sharing blog for missionaries out in the field or on deputation and for Pastors whose churches send missionaries into the field. It is a way to share ideas, to foster and encourage, to warn and aid, and most of all – to keep in prayer.

There is nothing like discussing an event or sharing a new idea you would like to implement with someone who has been in the field longer than you. Perhaps they have tried something like that at one time or another and can give you suggestions that will make your idea work even better.

    Greetings from PNG,

It is hot humid and dry. We have not seen a drop of rain since we arrived Jun 29th. But we have been well watered in the word of God and are strengthen daily as we fellowship with our Lord.
One thing I have really strived to keep at the forefront is that my service comes from my fellowship with the Lord and not let my service be my fellowship. We can really get busy for the Lord and be cumbered about much service and not do what is needful and that is sit with the Lord in prayer and in the Bible. I feel utterly helpless in this work without the Lord. I Cor 2:1-5 has been so real to me. People are hearig the preaching in the market and are coming to hear more. Just this past Sunday the Sunday school went an hour and ½ and then we had regular service. I had to get them to stand up and move around as no one moved after we closed Sunday school. I have prayed for God to give me people that are hungry for God’s word. I have nothing else to offer them except to labor among them in word and doctrine. We are meeting under our house. We had expected it to be concreted by the time we arrived but that fell through. So they sit on the ground some chairs and some boards. More people here Know English so I preach in English and Pisin. We take our time so they can follow along. I want them to read it for themselves. I have already told them if I can help them to the Lord that this is so important you better find someone who can help you to Christ. Brethren it isn’t about us or our ministry but getting people into Christ the WORD and into his word. I already know I could drop dead tomorrow or be told the cancer has returned and if I was giving them me they would be left with nothing. So give them Christ. I pray that my preaching gives them a hunger for Christ and his word. That they will study it. That they will meditate upon it and muse over it. Pray the market preaching is such it would convict the sinner of their sins and show them the Savior who died in their place to reconcile them to the father.

Each weds night in our neighborhood has been very quiet. This past Weds we heard lots of singing. Seems someone is not happy and is getting the ol religious flesh going. Always amazed me when out, door knocking, that someone would show interest in the gospel and the next thing you know the Mormons and JW’s and some other false Christ would show up at that persons door. Satan gets awfully concerned about making people interested in religion when the truth shows up.

As I flew from Singapore there was a Member of Parliament who also holds a Cabinet position in the Government of PNG with us. He came back and sat next to me. I witnessed to him and told him this. Papua New Guinea is full of religion. We don’t need more. For it is religion that doesn’t change the hearts of men. Papua New Guinea needs the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that will affect change in the heart of men. He is a Catholic who has said a prayer in a Baptist Church without conversion. As most Members of Parliament they give money to churches to build buildings, more like monuments of religion and Christ is at the door knocking. Please pray for him and any other doors the Lord opens that I will be faithful to witness. A Papuan friend of mine recently had an opportunity to give the Prime Minister a Gospel tract in a meeting with him. Pray he will read it and seek the Lord.

Please pray for us as we begin again here. That I preach the Gospel with boldness and in His power. That it is not, a form of godliness that denies the power thereof, but the gospel that is powerful unto redemption.

I Cor 2:1-5 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ , and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the spirit and of power:

Love you all and pray your serving the Lord where you are at and looking for the coming of Christ. Even so Lord Jesus Come Quickly!!!!

    NIELS A. Gade
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men. For Kings and all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our savior; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of truth I TIMOTHY 2:1-4

    Dear Friends,

Please pray for Alishia’s (my oldest daughter) In Laws, Bob and Cindy Parsell. Thursday night they were riding on a motor cycle when a bucket ( from like off a bobcat) flew off the back of a trailer passing them in the opposite direction. Nearly severing Bro. Bobs arm and shoulder and damaging their legs. Bro Bob had to have his arm and shoulder removed and is in critical condition in hospital, also there have been operations on Sister Cindy’s leg and I believe other operations on Bro Bob to come once he has some more strength. Being half way across the world I am sketchy on some details. Please pray for them and their family.

Secondly please pray for Valentina. This is the mother of Nikita, my Russian comrade who I had Bible studies with and who ate with us several times while we were in Pangia. He wrote yesterday to tell me he has to go back to Russia in 3 weeks time as his mother has cancer and is in stage four. Pray he makes it back in time and pray for their salvation.

Then please pray for Gwendy as we will be getting her results from mammogram, and two ultra sounds on abdomen done this week as part of a physical, this Monday. We don’t know of anything amiss but do ask for prayer.

Otherwise things going well here in Singapore.

    Thank you

Greetings to all from Singapore. Where it is stifling hot and humid, But where the Lord can still be walked with and fellowshipped with.
Looks as if Anna may have Chicken Pox. Nothing like starting off that way less than a week from the states. I find it amusing in a sense
I didn’t type Niels has chicken pox. I’d did get it at 26 so I shouldn’t get it. (cross your superstitious fingers LOL)

Brethren please pray for us. I just pray that we be not corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. Obeying what he has given us to do and that is
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among the nations beginning at Jerusalem. Lk 24:47
.. to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive the forgiveness of sins
And inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me…….and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, and turn to God, and do works meet
For repentance……having therefore obtained help from God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying….that Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should raise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people , and to the gentiles…… Acts 26:18-23

I recently heard of a missionary that worked among the Hmong people of Laos from Pastor Jesse. The Hmong were refugees in Thailand. Though the Thai people were not receptive to the gospel these refugees were. When enough had been saved to where they desired a church meeting house the missionary that worked among them told them he was not getting outside help to build them a church building. Brother Jesse relayed to me the Hmong said it cut them to the heart he wouldn’t help. They ended up realizing he wasn’t bluffing and the young Christians sacrifice their food for a week to raise over $500 and bought the bamboo and other materials and built themselves a church. Not many years later around 2008-9 Thailand forced them out of Thailand back to Laos where they had a death warrant for being Hmong. A government official came from Laos and asked for the name of every Hmong who had become a Christian. This meant certain death. Well it came time to leave and they left that little bamboo church in Thailand and many Hmong went over into Laos as preachers trusting in God and not a man to guide them. What seemed cruel by the missionaries refusal to help them with foreign aid to build a church taught them to look to God and prepared them to go back into Laos with the light of Christ that could travel with them instead of waiting for a missionary to provide. They realized that is was given not only to believe on his name but to suffer for it. And suffering they are.
Many have gone on to heaven. Pray for the Hmong Christians in Laos. Pray for the many who came to the USA that they may get saved and go back. Maybe the next great wave of missionaries will be people returning to their native countries with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With the Syrian refugees and others coming in we should find them and preach to them Christ. What foreign group that is unreached might be near your church? I am sure there is much done in the name of Christ that wont be know till the judgement seat of Christ. We American missionaries may have received all our glory here on earth. TO THE FIGHT!!!!

Historical note. More than 580,000 bombing missions in Laos from 1964-1973. More US bombs (plus 2 million tons worth) were dropped in Laos than the US dropped in all countries during WWII. Over 73 million bombs estimated to be unexploded and 20,000 people have died from UXO detonations.

I have had an update from Niels Gade- he is here in the US and being attended by some of the best. Please keep him and his family in prayer.
    Here is his latest update:

    Dear All,

Don’t have all the news at this time.
The tumor is cancer. It is a chondrasarcoma. They are still working on finding the grade.
Will email once we know more details.
We have to know the grade in order to perform proper surgery.
Every thing I have read says this is rare. The key is having a sarcoma specialist. Which we do have, Dr. Walton is a Sarcoma specialist he is an orthopedic onocologist rolled into one and there is actually a sarcoma team hear in Charleston. The tumor board met Sunday and are looking at my case. I do believe the Lord has directed us in this. Dr. Walton also specializes in ‘limb salvage’ which gives me a Dr who can do everything needed and I don’t need to incur extra expense by traveling away from home church. Also he works with VA so looks like all ost will be covered besides co pay on meds.
The Lord is to be glorified. We are to give thanks in all things and for all things.

Please pray they get the grading right. Then we can proceed accordingly.
    Love you all.

Possible solution to costly problem for missionaries. Most of us living abroad can only get cash via ATM or bank draft both of which are expensive. The good Lord gave wisdom to my former partner Brent Logan years ago to a banking system that costs NOTHING. The ATM used abroad sometimes charges up to 3% plus a $5 service charge for each transaction. Charles Schwab bank refunds ALL ATM transactions and charges NOTHING for service charge. Go to http://www.schwab.com and follow instruction on how to open a checking account. Because they are an investment company they require that you open a “Brokerage Account” first but I have never used it…the combination of my Bank of America credit card which pays a percentage reward for its usage, which I pay off at the end of every month and the free ATM cash system…it actually pays me to bank…try it…you’ll like it. Our ministry here in the Philippines is multi-faceted and the good Lord is blessing so much that it requires partnership. Greg Stedman out of Tim Haveman’s church in Idaho has been with us for 7 months now on an extended field trip to prepare for deputation. The partnership with the Stedman family has worked out perfectly and now they must return to USA for deputation but their time here has given them a head start in that they know everything there is to know about our ministry and the field and will be VERY eager and knowledgeable in presenting themselves. Pray for them as they begin the blessing of deputation and pray for us as we must endure their absence and fill the huge gap their absence will create…Sutek

We need your help. We would like to build a data base of “Mission Minded” churches. Wouldn’t it be great starting out on deputation if you had a list of five hundred churches that were KJV Bible Believing, Missionary Minded churches that you could contact for possible meetings. Better yet, with current addresses and phone numbers. It would be great coming home on furlough to be able to visit new churches for additional support and actually had a web site that you could go to that had an up to date list.
Ok, sounds good, but again we need your help. Please email Mary Jane (mjwijtyk@missionaryconduit.com) any lists that you may have and we will post them on our site. We will do our best to keep them current. Yes it takes a lot of work and your time is valuable so let us help. You can mail copies of any lists you have to me at Bible Believers Baptist Church, 660 Constitution Ave. Stowe, PA 19464

Let’s work together like Paul and Apollos so that God can give the increase.
